The mDot™ is a LoRaWAN® ready, Low-Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) module for 868 MHz SRD and 915 MHz ISM bands. It is capable of 2-way single-duplex communication across distances of up to 5 miles/8 km line of sight, deep into buildings, or within noisy environments.

When you buy an mDot for development, make sure it has a header pin. It normally has a "P" in its name e.g. MTDOT-915-X1P-SMA-1 |
Development Board
The mDotTM Micro Developer Kit is a micro developer and programming board. This kit is available in the form of a USB dongle, allowing a developer to plug in a mDot, mDot EVB or mDot Box and start developing their own application.

A dev board is sold separately. The mDot is responsible for encoding your data into LoRa packets, but the dev board allows your computer to communicate with the mDot |
